Arsenal great Ian Wright has consistently shown his loyalty to the club he loves since leaving the Gunners back in 1998 and the legendary striker will undoubtedly have endeared himself to fans once again after his latest antics.

The 52-year-old, who remains Arsenal’s second highest goalscorer of all-time, has questioned why a banner bearing the image of Cesc Fabregas still flies outside the Emirates on Ken Friar bridge.

‘HELLO ! How is Cesc still on the Ken friar bridge?’ Wright asked on Instagram, alongside a photograph of himself next to the banner.

Fabregas, of course, left the north London outfit for boyhood club Barcelona back in 2011 but it was the midfielder’s transfer to bitter rivals Chelsea three years later which riled so many supporters.

Last summer, a small section of fans removed another Fabregas banner which was situated on Danny Fiszman bridge – and a video of the incident went viral among Gooners online.

And it appears Wrighty now wants the other remaining image of the Catalan torn down, despite him captaining and making over 300 appearances for Arsenal.

Many supporters criticised Arsene Wenger for failing to re-sign him before a controversial transfer to Stamford Bridge but it appears Wright still holds a bitterness with Fabregas for the move.

Perhaps he needs reminding that Wenger actually had first refusal on Fabregas but snubbed his former skipper…
